As a child, it became obvious at the age of 5 that music was going to become an extension of me. I could not get enough of the piano. It became my friend, and still, as I sit down to bring life to it... it brings life to me.

At a very young age, I remember listening to my mother play Beethoven and being literally changed by it. I wanted to be able to play the music that had touched me so deeply through my mother's hands. It was not too many years later that I was able to feel that same music coming from my own hands.

My hunger to grow musically manifested itself in a desire to encounter as many musical cultures as possible. Over time, my musical interests encompassed not only my classical piano roots, but also included rock and roll, jazz, choral music, and contemporary Christian. This diversity of musical experiences allowed me to nurture my need for music and my desire to share my love of music with others. This desire has not only been to perform music, but to teach it. Opening Studio 88 has been a dream for a long time.

So, here is the information you may be asking for: I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Eastern Kentucky University. I also have my teacher certification and taught at Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary school for three years, before I began private piano teaching. For the last 9 years, I have been Music Director at Crossroads Christian Church where I built the team and led the band in creating a musical experience for our congregation. I have led worship, charted music, rehearsed the band, helped program the services musically, and in 2002 recorded my CD 'GROW'.

It is my desire to share my musical experiences and knowledge with you, the parents and students. I want to create functional musicians for our future. I am excited about having that opportunity.
