Chris Weiss

Chris Weiss came highly recommended to me by Al Beers, instructor of classical guitar at Asbury College. Al says "Chris is one of the most intelligent and hardworking students I have had in my 16 years of college teaching. His personality and communication skills are what make him a highly effective instructor of children." Chris began playing guitar at age 12 and by the time he reached high school and college was involved in several areas of study, including classical guitar, jazz ensemble, and a garage band that played for various social gatherings. When I spoke with Chris about joining me at Studio 88, I was excited to hear his teaching philosophy...he said, "Success is my primary concern, ..first people must succeed. If you can teach them how to do that, they will love what they are doing. No matter what age you may be, you can create your own music to enjoy". Chris also believes in strength in numbers. His lessons are set up for two to four students who can learn from each other as well as make mistakes together. This creates a more comfortable atmosphere for learning.

Chris is a great addition to the studio and is an excellent teacher! You will find his gentle spirit very comfortable and his desire to teach success very apparent.---Beth
